i've found a guy in my home town that is selling a decent condition set of wheels and tires. The wheels are Konig Verdicts but the spec's are:
Specs: 18 x 7.5
5x100 and +45 offset
Now i remember there was alot of talk on what would fit for the 97 BD's but i cant remember if everyone said they would fit, or not.Or whether they would fit but only at stock ride height. Can anyone fresh my memory?

Here's Pics of the wheels:

Unless you're not lowered and run some ultra low profile tires, you will most likely rub on the fender with that setup... from stock, you will have 3mm less inner clearance (towards strut) and 23mm less outer clearance (towards fender).

yeah thats what i figured. I knew it would be a real tight fit. The tires arent very low profile i think. they are the Falken ZE-512 ZIEX and are 225/40/18, so im guessing they'll rub

Right now I'm running 225/50R16 ContiExtreme Contacts on 16x7 '01 RS 6-spokes (et53 I think?) with stock suspension (The super-pimp RSis are on the RS).

In the rear they have zero clearance from the strut (the lettering on the left tire gets the dust rubbed off it!) and rub (only just) on the fender lip.

If I were going to run 225 section tires, I would go with a lower offset rim (48 would be my choice) for clearance off the strut, but you would definitely need to roll your fenders if you're running any drop at all.

So, the offset is a little low, but other than that they *should* fit, if you can roll the rear fenders enough.

well i went and saw the wheels, they are in very nice shape. he also said i could run 215/40/18 tires to get rid of the rubbing problem, would that work as well and if so, how much more clearence will i get?

ok so the guy decided to offer me an even better price just to get these wheels out of his house so now i have another question. If i run the 215/40/18 tire will i have enough room and if i do decide to drop it, with the smaller tire and H&R springs for the mid level drop, will the rubbing issue still be a big prob. ?

H&R's wont be a mid level drop with 18x7.5

Feels like too much trouble to me.

I'm running 17x7 +45 with 215/45/17, lowered with Eibach's and I had to roll my fenders. Your setup will be an additional 0.25" either side...

215/40/18 is only 0.1" smaller than stock size so you won't be saving much height.

My advice would be to test fit them on your car and you should be able to see how far the wheels stick out and determine if it's going to rub if you go any lower.

well i test fitted them but with the 225 tire and they didnt rub but that was at stock height. Of course i cant test them without the springs to what it would be like lowered. I guess ill just have to pass on this deal too.
