ej22 runs at times

the gfs 95 legacy was a ej22 and lately its acting funny you can start it up and drive let it sit and start up and go again then the next time it will not start. it just turns over their is no fire at the plugs. the fuel pump is working i can hear pump and can smell fuel. could the coil be bad or should i start looking at cam and crank sensors?

Is it cranking over? Any codes? Could be a lot of things.

it cranks but will not fire. checked spark at plug. only code is for egr tube. not sure of number off hand. if i let it sit a while it will start right up

are you getting spark?
where are you smelling fuel from, the exhaust?

no spark when it will not start. the fuel i smell outside the car

Sounds like a faulty injector is not shutting off when the car stops.

i got a code p0400 erg flow and a p0340 camshaft position sensor.

It is definitely a bad cam sensor than!
