hood scoop insert color?

So im contemplating painting my hood scoop insert black on my car. I do have black 18s as well as tinted tail lights and hopefully tinting my windows soon. My question is would a black scoop look to "Ghetto" or "rice"? now that its getting nicer out im looking at my options of little things i can paint or tweek to make my car look any better.

I have seen some done and it does not look too bad, but I prefer the stock color.

yea see thats were im torn. ive seen it black before and can picture it black and i think itll look good but if it doesnt then im screwed lol i do like the clean look of the stock.

Put some black tape over it. See if you like it.

If yes, buy an unpainted insert from Subaru. Install it.
If no, leave it

for your car, the black won't be enough of a contrast to be noticeable unless you stare at the car for more than a glance...but if you want to do it, go ahead.

Get some 3M vinyl wrap and see if you like it. If you dont it comes right off. I had a thread about my CF wrapped one, but i was also considering black.

the tape or vinyl wrap sounds like a good idea. ill do it sometime this week after all this rain and post a picture
