Okay, I changed out my stock, wobbly crank pulley for a GFB underdrive and it was nice, for 3 days. When accelerating, intermittently I would get a flashing CEL. After looking around, it appears that my knock sensor is picking up a crazy knock and rattle coming from my power steering pump. I want to bypass the power steering for the time being until I can get another PS pump, but haven't been able to find the right belt to do.

I have searched ad nauseum, and found nothing.

Has anyone done this, and if so, what size belt did you use to bypass?

You could make a loop in the fluid hoses off of the tank so there is less stress on the pump or........... I have no idea. There has to be a belt for you somewhere. Get me a belt size and I will find it for you.

As far as I can tell, an alternator belt for an Escort will work. I replaced the PS pump, but have to bleed it again.

As for the belt, it's a 28" belt with 5 ribs. The part number is 25-050275. The issue that I have is that I am running a GFB underdrive pulley.
