I have read in a few forums that pre '04 WRX/STI struts and springs can be used in a '97 Legacy Outback Limited to lower it with no modification other then using STI top hats, is this true or is there more to it then that?
I was just going to use H&R springs to lower mine but after placing my order I found they were back ordered so I started to search for other ways.
Another Noob question. LOL Can someone please explain the BG, Bk codes to me and how they relate to the different models so I know what you all are talking about?

BG = Outback - 95-99 Legacy wagon with raised roof and taller suspension. Purists will say that the BG is the JDM model only though.
BK = Any other 95-99 Legacy wagon with non raised roofline.
04 WRX suspension should bolt right in. You will need to make sure the tophats match the springs on the struts so they seat correctly.

I have the 06 sti compete set struts/ spring suspension,
And I have 98 outback legacy, my question is!
Would the bottom 2 holes would fit onto the outback brake caliper!
I heard they won't fit because of the size problem is that true!
You said the sti top head won't fit! Can I reuse the outback tophead and bolt onto the sti struts?
Thanks
