hey,
whats the vacuum hose that goes to the middle of intake manifold to the sensor under the intake on the passenger side. the plastic fitting for the sensor broke off in the hose.
what is this sensor and what is it for?
it seems like a pain to get to, i plugged the line going to the manifold because it was idling veryvery low, almost stalling. it is running ok with it plugged. bouncing around 100rpm every so often.
i searched and had no clue what to search for so i gave up after a few tries. thanks!!

EDIT:::: found a picture. i cirlced it in yellow, the IACV is on the drivers side i think.. which will be the left side in the picture.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. It basically allows excess EGs to be burnt off in the intake. It's an emissions thing.
What does the sensor look like (the one that broke off a bit in a vac hose)?

i apologize...the first picture i put up is wrong. i was confused as to which way it would sit on the car. ignore the first picture, the one i just put up is the sensor i broke which has the line coming from the manifold.

Is it the vacuum hose for the fuel pump regulator? Pictures are confusing the diagnosis. Sorry. That would explain the engine anomoly.

Yea thats what it looks like because the pictures suck. I cant get a good picture myself so those are the best i found. But the house goes to the valve that is circled. The hardline from the regulator doesnt attach to it im almost 100%. This sensor has the vacuum line coming from the intake manifold and goes to a port on the sensor which is circled. It has 1 plug that you cant see in the picture and one more vacuum line that you can some what see. I googled vsv valve and thats what it looks like
What you are looking at is the purge control solenoid. It draws fuel vapors from the gas tank and puts it back into the intake path so it can be combusted instead of venting out to the atmosphere. The ECU determines when to open it - during constant, non-idle rpms.
