So we had some of the first decent weather of the season, and since my friend and I had been threatening to go for a drive for weeks now, we dusted off the Legacy and headed out.

Keen-eyed viewers may notice that my wheels/tires are on my friend's STI, and his wheels/tires are on my car. OK, probably nobody will notice that since they are the exact same wheel, just different color. He has slightly wider, better tires on his wheels, and I was curious to know if they would fit on my car since the Legacy has a very small area for the tires to fit. I was also curious to know how his BF Goodrich G-force KDW tires compared to my Bridgestone Potenza RE760s. I also want to re-powder coat my wheels, so I wanted to test drive the color of his wheels. So we swapped wheels prior to driving out to take pictures, and had a bit of a SAFE competition on the drive up, then swapped cars and drove back. I've got to say, even though the STI was being hindered by the less aggressive Bridgestone tires, the Legacy performed admirably. The STI, with a stage 1 tune and 18psi, absolutely obliterated the Legacy's n/a engine, but on the corners, it performed very well compared to the STI.

And to finish off the evening, some silver Legacy pics :)

Those JDM tails really set that car off! Love the wheels too.

Thanks! I've got to admit that I've been kind of a silent admirer of your car. I appriciate when people do kind of different but functional engine swaps on these cars. The EG is probably the most difficult "bolt in" swap for this car. I can't wait to dust off the EJ257 I've got kicking around in my garage and get it in the legacy, but it needs rebuilt first.

Thanks. I've kind of been focusing on working out the looks of the car. Now time to move onto performance :)

First off, very nice cars :) Clean and well trimmed. What can I say more.

Noticed the nice '06 GT. Have you done anything to it? Is it your daily driver? Have you started diggin' for possible upgrades?

Owning a '06 Limited (N/A) tought I'd ask see if you might have some input ;)

it is my daily driver. I've looked into performance stuff a bit, but the engine and drivetrain stuff is all completely different between the turbo and non turbo models. I've looked into suspension stuff a bit, but not enough to offer much advice.

For the suspension on the BD, I have Tein Flex coilovers for a WRX. I had to spend a lot of time adjusting the ride height because the recommended specs slam the car and have it sitting uneven. It still has a slight backwards rake, but its about 1/4", so barely noticable.
