Wheel Bearings, Axles or Both?

Alright, so the noise is coming from the front end. It started out as a whirling squeak that was only present under load. It has now turned into a grinding noise along with the squeak and is still happening under load and only when the car is in gear and moving. I'm also getting a pop pop sound when turning at low speed.

I'm pretty sure its the axles but it could be the wheel bearings too. Oh, and I have experienced "death wobble" a few times on the the interstate. What do you folks think?

have you jacked up the car and checked for play in the front wheels? any play would be sure sign of a bad wheel bearing.
