So Basically as i was away at college not needing my car, i let my brother drive it around, He apparently wrecked it 2 times within 3 months of each other. He first smashed a curb doing 50, which completely ripped the whole left suspension and wheel off. which has now led to the destruction of my front diff and why i now have to put this in.

Upon prepping the car for the replacement i found a shit ton of oil all on the back of my engine block, it seems to have been coming from my cam seals which would explain why im always super low on oil. Since the transmission is basically out minus 3 bolts, i might as well pull the engine and replace the seals, and install a new water pump because my pops has reason to believe thats going out as well. but we will see in the next few days.

Also upon dropping my exhaust, my muffler snaped at the point where it connects to my mid pipe, ruining both so now i have to get new exahust :twisted:.

I did manage to buy some jdm tails from 5mileimports today. Now i have to find the center piece to complete the set.

I'm really depressed how my car ended up, i absolutely love my car and i feel ashamed that it was beat on like it was, although it was not my fault, i should have never trusted my brother with my car. He thinks anything with a MT is a car from gran turismo and thinks he can zip through backroads like an ass because of the AWD, i mean we all do it, but with some respect to the car, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PAID FOR IT.

Looks like you have a leak either from your cam seals or the rear main. You should go ahead and replace those seals anyway.
Water pump is a good idea if it wasn't done with the timing belt, which is when the pumps are usually replaced.

Interior looks slick with that steering wheel, nice work.

LOVE your interior. The silver gauge cluster and vent surrounds, the stitching, and the wheel. Are you going to extend the silver trim to include the center console and window switches?

Yeah, Good call. Someone earlier said the same thing you did, so its definitely going on my to do list.

Also my intake is off so it looks like a lot of room at the moment.

Just purchased a Vibrant Street Power exhaust. JDM tails will be shipped monday. Engine out and seals replaced hopefully by sunday, then finish up the transmission hopefully monday. But im a huge procrastinator. so we shall see how it goes haha.

Well got the tranny out today, Needs a new throwout bearing though. i got a shopping list for the dealership tomorrow and order some parts to get this bad boy on the road.

Going to replace my seals tomorrow

Borla replica headers has been purchased. Gonna buy some header wrap for it and have an exhaust shop do it up on saturday.


She should be on the road by sunday at the lastest hopefully!

Well finally got the transmission in today, BUT 2nd gear doesnt engage. SO pissed right now, 5hrs of work for nothing. Got to call and see about my 90 day warranty on it and hopefully they will give me my money back. At this point i rather spend the 1500 on rebuilding my transmission than get another used one and find out that doesnt work either.

I have the worst luck i swear.

The rebuilt transmission is on its way, the engine is all sealed up, just bought some WRX pedals and a dead pedal to match.

Been seriously looking at coilovers, The Stance GR+ have been on my mind alot.

God i wish i had more money! i still need about 2500 before i make it LOOK the way i want. Another 1500 for the SC build ive been doing research on, i tell you what, there is no better feeling than doing research and finding out what you really want for your car. its like a 5yr old in toys r us. I want it all! hahaha

Everything is in, but just waiting on the headers to get here before i start her up. The transmission shifts good so hopefully all goes well on the start up.

I just purchased the whiteline sway bar (which has to be made at the factory and will take 2 months to get here) and some Stance GR+ coilovers for my car via horsepowerfreaks.com.

I cant wait til my car is back up and running again. shes gonna be a beast!

i also recently bought a forester xt tmic for my supercharger build, except someone outbid me on the supercharger, i was not trying to spend more than 350 on it. i guess ill have to wait....

...No. I got a fairly new transmission instead of rebuilding my old one. Do you still feel I need? Is the reason why I need the kit is that it fixes a problem on the actual transmission or where the tranny goes into the engine? Lmao I don't really want to have to pull that sucker out again.

The 5mt snout kit (aka TSK1 or PDM sleeve) doesn't just fix a problem, it prevents it from ever happening.

True. I read somewhere on the rs fourm that it was a problem on the 99 and 00 transmissions. Mine doesn't show any wear on my old transmission or my new one so I think ill be ok. Plus I just dropped 1300 on coilovers so im dead broke right now

this heatwave thats been going on here is outrageous, i can cook an egg on my garage floor. Got to wait til saturday when it cools down to piece it back up. i will have pics coming soon of the updated interior and exterior and maybe a sound clip of the exhaust if anyone cares.

The car is finally on the road again after a few months of bullshitting. Its currently at the exhaust shop now getting the muffler welded on. it sounded so mean driving to the shop without the muffler on haha. Im still waiting for my coilovers to ship from japan, Estimated to be here around the 7th of july. The sway bar is on backorder and will be here around august. Ive also picked up a mercedes supercharger and Greddy emanage ultimate for my supercharger build. By christmas my car should be right where i always wanted it to be. You dont know how happy i was to hear my car start up! i thought it was gonna blow up or something because i have that kind of luck.

i will be posting up some vids and pictures of the exhaust and the updated interior!

im just trying to clean it up now and start collecting the rest of the parts for my build. i got the emanage ultimate, fxt intercooler and wrx fuel pump and a 99 rs throttle body. I still need to buy some gauges a wideband sensor, FPR and all the pipeing. hopefully ill be able to get started on this build next month and be finished by the end of summer.

yeah this is going to be fun as im very new to fabricating things. but if this works out(i imagine it should) i would probably start recommending this, its a fairly cheap build, i got most of the expensive parts already and im only at around 600. im projecting a little over 1000 for this build, but not by much.
