I want to get a different steering wheel for my legacy and along with that I want to get the column to where i can take it on and off. I'm new when it comes to racing steering wheels so I need some help on it, also don't really know where to start looking as well. I drive a 95 lsi legacy.

95-99 Legacy all use the same splines as the 93-01 Impreza. I am not sure about the 02+ Impreza's but you should have no issue finding a "quick release hub" in either regular or short style from the above year impreza.
The steering wheel at this point can be completely universal since most after market steering hubs use 6 bolts to fix the wheel to the hub.
I have never seen a quick release hub for a stock wheel but you never know what you'll find.
To sum this up its
1) Quick release Hub (base) attached to steering column spline
2) Quick release Hub (removable section) attached to steering wheel (6x bolts)
3) You will have to wire up the horn connections that come from the column into the hub and then into the wheel. Simple enough just follow the instructions when you buy the hub.
4) You will have to REMOVE your clock spring... so 100% manual indicator no auto off when the wheel turns
