i recently bought a 2008 sti pitch stop off ebay out of boredom...I'm wondering if it'll bolt onto my 2000 Impreza RS?

I know the one you get form RallySportDirect fits fine and they looked similar but we'll find out for sure when it comes in the mail.

In the mean time if someone can give a definite answer that would be cool

It'll fit, and you've basically achieved nothing - unless your pitch stop if flogged out.

You need one with hardened bushes to notice a difference.
And by that, I mean more NVH and rattles around the dash.

Yep, waste of money unless yours is broken in half or bushings are falling out. Aftermarket aluminum with poly bushings or don't bother. A little more NVH but you get that with upgrading busings etc.

I got my Group N one for $35 and some change. I didn't notice any difference in performance or NVH.

When I installed my rallitek 4EAT bushing. That I noticed more then anything and I even have Group N motor mounts.

it arrived today, i guess i don't mind spending $15 for the sake of having a genuine sti part on my car

Its not a total waste... it is 8 yrs newer than your current part. 8yrs newer in the world of rubber bushings is worth something lol
