I put this in N/A since it says made in USA on it  I'll make one in non N/A if no good responses come in. This sits underneath my Top mount, engine is from a 96 wrx, not sure maybe it's not even from my swap and original to my 98 gt. Anyways has a deformed plug some pretty crappy looking wires going to it but never noticed anything wrong with the car, was just pulling the engine for a few items and putting in my spare trans.

The item in question is the piece that says power tr unit, GB-003?

Spot on Governor. That is the ignitor. It works with the ingition coil to fire-off the plugs. Our cars are a "waste spark" setup. Means that even if the cyllinder isn't in it's intake and fuel injection stroke...It still fires the plug in every cyllinder.

Thanks guys, so it would be useless on my car since it has a swap and the ignitor for an ej20g is right over by the abs pump.

Yes, but you can still sell it. I think I sold one for 25 bucks. Lol.
