I am excited and I thought I would share...

My 99 BD is the first subaru that I have owned and I will never buy another make of car as long as I live.

I have been with my GF for about a year and a half... I got her sold on a Subaru for her next car (she drives a hatchback Aveo right now...) Anyways, we have been looking for the last 2.5 months and have finally found the perfect car for her. We are driving down to pick it up tomorrow.

It is a 2004 WRX WRB Hatchback with an auto. Yes an auto... we are getting to the point in our lives/relationship where kids are a real possibility within the next 2 years... so is just right.

Completely stock.

The car has 130k miles on it and had the timing belt/water pump service done 10k miles ago. 2 owners... the second owner is only selling because he bought it for his family and it isnt big enough for what he does for a living... he has only had it for 2 months.

I feel like this is a perfect base to start from... if everything goes right, this will be her car for the next 4-7 years and I will be ready for a forester XT by the time I am ready to by a new car (about 1-2 years)

$7000 flat...

I think it is a steal

Just thought I would let you know about what I am about to have as a toy :smt023

BOUGHT!!!!

SUPER CLEAN on the inside and outside!!!!

Just drove it back over 450 miles and it was a champ!

I cant wait to get started... Clear headlights and some accessories if first up! All weather floor mats, Subaru Sunshade, headlight restorer, new headlight and foglight bulbs... and some detailing supplies.

This weekend is going to be fun.

Hahaha well it is as much of my car as it is hers and she loves what I have done to the Leggy so far so she gave me open range for the GG.

We do tons of roadtrips in which I drive so the mods are just as much for me as they are for her.

Also, there is a very real possibility that when I am ready for another car, that I get the GG and she gets a newer one in 1-2 years...

And it keeps me busy too!

My problem is making a priority list...

So far I am looking at:

Clearing the headlights of the orange plastic
DDM HID kit
Or possible STI swap with levelers switch
STi brake swap
Front and rear strut bars
Front and rear sway bars
Yakima roof rack or factory cross bars
Heated seats upgrade
Window tint

Nice plan. How about some recent pics of your car with the bumper?

Well currently it has the USDM bumper on it... I can grab a picture at lunch.

It doesnt look 100% right because with the JDM bumper beam... it makes the fogs sit towards the upper section of the foglight hole... but is looks decent until I get the JDM bumper painted with my power folding heated mirrors.

The other cool thing is that now instead of buying upgraded parts for my car (like brakes and wheels) I can just get upgraded parts for her car and use all of her factory stuff :D
