Rebuilding 2 pot front calipers - looking for advice

So I have been sitting on a set of junkyard pulled 2 pots and brackets from a Gen 2 Outback and I finally got a rebuild kit to go in them, so now I have a few questions.

I would like to paint the calipers. Should I do that before I rebuild, during the rebuild, or after the rebuild? I got a Duplicolor caliper kit in black that has some cleaner and some brush on paint, ok or should I have gone with a spray on finish?

In a rebuild, should I replace the bleeder valve or can I use the old one?

Do the same pads fit the 1 pot and 2 pot calipers? I know I need the bigger rotor. If I have to get a bigger rotor, should I go with the GT size (10.7) or try to find a 2002-04 WRX bracket and the WRX rotor (11 something). Either option will fit under WRX 16's, correct?

Then I need to find the time to do this.

paint them after rebuild. There's less masking that way IMO. I'd be more worried about getting paint on the seal surfaces or inside the caliper than anything so the hassle of masking the rubber bits is ok. Plus its easier to paint either way once the calipers are off the car. Reuse whatever is not included in the rebuild kit, 2pots use a totally different pad, go with the 11.4in rotor if you have the budget. If its the one-step caliper paint, either one is fine. The two-step stuff you mix tends to last longer, at least for me.

I remember seeing a couple of caliper rebuild DIY's in nasioc or rs25, you should search in there, they're very similar, if not exactly the same as the calipers you are rebuilding. I tried looking for them real quickly, but maybe you'll have better luck.

paint it before rebuild so you dont have alot of masking or get paint over the seals. The brush is fine. make sure you clean the crap out of it so the paint will stick.

you might as well replace the bleeder valve

don't know about the pads. you would have to get either the gt rotor or wrx w/bracket depending on your budget. i would get the wrx and yes it'll fit the wrx 16's

They are not the same pads. if the rotors friction surface is a different size, its different pads. Also, I would paint after you get it all apart, so you can keep the dust boot safe. Just do some masking, it shouldnt be bad. Definitely replace the bleeder valve, as to prevent it being rusted into the caliper permanently.
