Heres my dilemma. I started having issues when I started my car up when I turn the key. The car fires, but it then stalls out in a matter of seconds. I try to fire her up again and I use a little gas to bring the revs up, and then she works fine. Not sure if this is an idle issue or if the Throttle needs adjustment. Anybody have this problem or know what the cause is?

Sounds like an iac issue, like its not getting enough air. Clean your iac and see what that does for you.

I'll try that. also going to change the spark plugs.

Yes; IACV. The throttle doesn't really ever go out of adjustment, and even if it did, you'd have the opposite problem; the revs would increase if it were stuck open.

If you want a replacement, I bought an extra one when I had this problem. Pm me if you're in need

I looked through my service manual today fro ways to check the IAC. I'm going to test the voltage reading when its cold, and then check the resistance. If it's different than the specs, I'll purchase a new one. Also, anyone know where I can find a reasonable after-market coil pack and wiring?

We'll have to debate a price!

Well I checked the voltage on the wires, and it was close to the battery SOC. Then I checked for resistance on the solenoid, and it was reading close to specifications. I reinstalled everything, and replaced the tube that connects the IAC to the intake. Out of stroke of luck the idle went back to normal. I guess the tube had a large enough kink that it stricted air flow.
