I got a GT hood today. Pretty decent condition I think for $90. Need to color match it and all that. Anyways it doesn't fully line up.

Or is that normal?

My other question is the passenger side sticks up a little bit. When I drop the hood down it does this

Then when I push on it it ends up like this. BUT there is still a gap.

Drivers side:

Could it be my hood latch? Or what else could it be?

Ex Girlfriend had a minor fender bender quite some time ago but it only messed up the bumper cover. Was going about 10mph.

it looks like the edge is sort of bent
theres two rubber pieces on the radiator support on the opposite sides toward the corner of the hood, try twisting it down

Well shit. Was hoping that wasn't the case. Yeah I moved the rubber pieces. Didnt change anything/

for the front alignment like he said there are two spiral rubber knobs turn the pass side in until the hood is flush maybe raise the driver side a bit. for that corner you can align the hood or the fender most of the holes are larger than the bolt to allow for this.

On the hood none of the bolt holes looked bigger. For the fender wouldn't that create a gap at teh door?

i wouldnt worry about that side just yet first get the front aligned then see if that gap got smaller. also take a pic from the front to show the alignment of hood and fender how that line goes.

1) The 4x bolts holding the hinges must be aligned. They are not auto aligning bolts!! Lossen them up and slide the hood front/back/side to side till you happy with the fit.

2) Like Dodik stated the hood "bumper" are spiral rubber numbs that can be raised or lowered depending on the gaps.

3) Hood latch. Adjustments can be made here but it wont give you that much adjustments.

...

Note... your bumper / light and grille are not aligned properly. it looks like you were in some sort of accident by that nasty crack on the passenger side bumper edge.

you could try lowering the hood latch a tad, not sure if it will resolve much but you never know, i know on all my hondas i had to lower the latch in order to change hood around with other years/models.

I got the bumper that way with the crack. However my ex got into an accident going maybe 10mph and hit someone on that side. Not sure what to look for. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
