i want some new seats that arent like the blue sti seats that i always seem to find.

Does anyone know if these will fit in the BE, i know some modification is needed to get them to work for other WRXs but i was wondering if i even have a chance at getting them in my car.

"....some useful info – GR seats are not a direct bolt on because only the front 2 mounting points are perfect; one of the rear mounting points is close, but the other is about 2” off (see pics below) – so the only other feasible option is a custom seat rail"

Whoomp Whooomp..

And yes I know hes putting these seats in a Fozzy FXT .. same shoe box just taller..

^ that said, it looks like the guy got them in with by swapping the seat rails (with a little custom work). still much less work than making full "custom seat rails".

Yes i know.. he made a DIY in the link but have you ever seen the bottom of a BE powered seat.

Does not look like fun thats for sure.

This can be done but loads of work.

yeah, im a noob when it comes to fabricating stuff and welding and such. i think ill have to pass on this one and save me the heartache of failure hahaha. Shoot taking my transmission out was the first thing ive ever done to my car or any car other than changing the oil and rotating the tires lol. And i tell you what if my pops wasnt around it would have taken me alot longer than 6 hours to take it out.

side question, How do you get good at welding and stuff like that. any good books or read ups on the net?

1) Take a class
2) Online Tutorials
3) Local friends/family who can teach you
4) Welding for Dummies book available at Amazon
5) Practice
6) Practice
7) Practice
8) Practice
9) Practice
10) Practice again!!

Welding is simple as long as you understand 6 things

0) Cleaning the tip
1) Gas shielding
2) Wire feed
3) Voltage/Amp (heat)
4) Ground!
5) Technique
