Towing

I'm needing to tow some stuff back home with me from FL, the problem is I think my car might be too low to support the added weight without rubbing tires in the wells.

It's a small trailer, and about 200lbs worth of stuff. I'm currently on H&R springs.

Yes or no?

small or light trailer? we need combined weight and assuming its a single axle? can you center the weight above the axle? to check the weight if you already have access to trailer and something similar in size and weight of what you are towing, 1 load the trailer 2 put the tongue on bathroom scale. 3 put that much weight in your trunk and go around a few corners 4 check for rubbing. 5 adjust as needed.

It's a 4x8 single axle u-haul trailer. The heaviest thing in there will be a set of wheels, maybe 15lbs each. Other then that it's just misc little stuff I can't fit in my car.

200lbs is nothing. It'll be like hauling a dead body. Put the majority of the weight over the trailer axle and then spread the load evenly around it. Load your car evenly also and you should be good to go.

As long as your rear tires aren't close to rubbing unladen, you should be fine.

I figured. Rather then fill my trunk I'm putting all my bags n such in the trailer as well to keep the weight even. There's also going to be 4 people in the car but the back seat will have my kids in it so maybe another 125 lbs total.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'd hate to go out and spend $200 bucks on a hitch/wiring and find out I'm too low and have to source a set of OEM springs and swap them in.

the worst case scenario if you are rubbing lightly remove spare tire jack and all other heavy stuff from the trunk into trailer. Im actually going on a 20hour towing trip tonight at midnight to buy my friend a bike in west virginia, that should be fun. car is sagging in the back already plus trailer and bike im still thinking i'd be fine. gl
