outback fog light wiring

i'm trying to find some wiring diagrams for the stock bumper lights for a 96-99. i'm going to be putting an outback bumper and lights on my 96 legacy and i want the lights to work. i have a feeling it's gonna be a pita to do so if i got just the 3 wire connectors for the lights, how hard would it be to wire them up myself if i bought a relay and switch? whats confusing me is that the lights have 3 wires going to them. or should i just put a set of hella 500's in there and forget about the stock lights?

The fog lights just need a power and a ground wire. Just make a simple circuit with a relay and a switch.

ok cool. what gauge of wire should i use?

Just something reasonable; 16 gauge should be fine.
