ok, i currently have a 99' leggo l bk wagon, and i also have a summer full of free time approaching and almost 1500dollars and a job. now heres the tricky part, i have the oppertunity to possibly purchace a 2003 impreza wrx for an obnoxiously cheep price but it needs work how much is unknown(ill be going to look at it this weekend hopefully), so, i could buy the wrx or put that money into my current leggacy, and of course theres the third option of swapping the motor and 5mt into my leggo  im just looking for some opinions on what to do or possible mod suggestions since my leggy is BONE STOCK.

Depends on how much work the wrx is. And do you want to take on a swap?

Do you want somthing that everyone has (wrx) or do you want something that stands out and you could be proud of building (swap)?

i was considaring a swap but the problem is that my dad wont let me swap in the 5spd because he "dosnt want to deal with it" in a car he wont be driving but i supose an engine swap is still possible but not worth it to me, so still undecided lol. but then again i am leaking oil out of the back of my current engine anyways so im considaring swaping it since its looking like the engine is going to need to come out.

if you did the motor you would need to do the trans, the stock trans on your BK wouldnt be able to handle the additional torque

This is true. well i got to see the car and its suprisingly in decent shape for the obnoxious amount of miles it has on it, (about 240k) not really alot of rust i was also informed that it misfires ocationaly, which could be anything.

buy the wrx...if your dad won't let you do the swap and fixing the wrx is just too much then you could always part it out and probably make a profit.

Engine swaps are lots of work, but with great reward.

As for the trans; it will handle the power just fine. Subaru 5MT's are pretty similar strength-wise.

ya GTD for 1300 dollars i could easily make a profit off of it, i might just have to think about swaping it now thanks nord!

Yea buy the car and part it out. If you take everything off that you need you can prob still pull 3,000 of of parts on the wrx. I parted the Svx after my swap for about 4,000+ I still have parts.
