Hey all, another fitment question.

I'm looking to run the Hankook RS3 225/45/15 tire on a BK with AST4100 coilovers, I'm not afraid to roll the fenders at all. Will a 15x8 et40 Rota slipstream fit with this tire without hitting the suspension or fender? This is my daily driver, these aren't an autocross only setup.

Thanks!

so I just realized I asked pretty much this question two years ago, and forgot about the old thread. Re-reading it, the old thread had lots of wishy-washiness from me on tire size and wheel diameter, but I'm set on this setup unless the 15x8 et40 (56.1mm cb) won't fit. I can't find any other 15x8 5x100 that would have remotely a prayer of stuffing wide 225/45/15s.

it should fit. since your rolling the fenders it wont rub on corners.

That should fit with no issues - it's a 225 on an 8 which isn't a particularly wide tire, and those are going to be TINY. Roll fenders in the rear, at most, but with a rolling diameter that small, you'll be rubbing axles on the pinches in front before you hit the fenders.

Awesome, thanks!

When you say rubbing axles on the pinches, what do you mean? I know the rolling diameter is smaller than stock, but the tires run a LOT wider than you'd think with a 225. They're slightly bulgy on an 8" rim.

Yep, realize that - if you're doing it to get the car lower, though, the smaller diameter is going to look very goofy and you'll have a ton of wheelgap (you will no matter what, actually). If you're not worried about aesthetics and aren't dropping the car, you'll be fine. If you lower it enough to try to get rid of the gap (or reduce it), you're going to get to the point where your axles hit the subframe or frame before your tires rub on the fenders. I ran 215/40/16's, which are slightly shorter than what you're talking about, and it was ridiculous - will see if I have a pic around here somewhere.

sybir no pic of your old setup came up? I'm curious to see how it looks because i might be getting a set of 16s, 16x8 +40.
