2008 Impreza Single Din Into BD/BG

Hi,

So I purchased a Kenwood KDC-X492 for $30 from a local Subaru Club member and he used it on his 08 Impreza. It is a single din and it is all wired up for an 08 Impreza.

I was wondering if the stereo adapter for a 2008 Impreza is the same as the ones we use for older Subarus. If it does not fit then I'll need to get one of these right?

Shouldn't be that different. +ve, -ve wires for front left, front right, rear left, rear right.

Did Subaru even change the adapters in the newer cars?

^^ I think you'll find out if they did or not - but the newer models do come with NAV etc built in. If the radio is still a 1 DIN unit, I would place money that it's the same ol' harness. It's when they start integrating the dash units with the HVAC controls that things get dicey. I hate Honda for doing that in the Accord.

I thought they changed something in 06ish. I'm sure it wasn't major though.
