i have a jdm bumper with a square indent where the beam hit it upon slow impact with a car
its starting to crack, is there a way to fix it?
its a plastic (abs?) skin so idk where to begin or how

go to harbor freight and get their airless plastic welding kit, cut the mesh to fit over the indent/crack on each side (so youd need two), melt the mesh into the bumper skin and cover with plastic weld, sand it flat and repaint. you could probably even cut the indent section out and replace with plastic weld if you really want to. search youtube for bumper tab repair and follow those instructions.

before you do that, get a heat gun and slowly massage it back into its original shape... Ive seen it done with my own eyes, you will need to paint it after though

I removed my bumper after a hit and run and steped on it from the inside to work it out. Still needs paint sometime though.

+1 for using a heat gun. I've taken big bumps out of bumpers before by just using a heat gun. It works super good. No need to plastic weld anything unless the bumper skin itself is torn or ripped apart.
