Alarm problem

lately my stock alarm has been going off by itself and no one is around it. If it chirps twice in a row then my alarm sets off, but if it chirps once then it doesnt go off. Also if it chirps twice but slowly like a few seconds delay it wont go off. Would anyone know what my problem is?

My alarm is factory. A month ago I found out it was my hazard light fuse that was causing it to chirp. The fuse is grounding somewhere and it just breaks the fuse right away when I put a new one in. Its also causing my alarm to go off after a couple chirps so I have some wiring problem somewhere. Is there a relay switch or something for the turn signals and hazards? If there is does anyone know where they both are located? I already tried swapping the emergency button with a different one I got from the junkyard but that didnt work. I took out my fuse box and disconnected all the harnesses underneath and check to see if any wires were bad but they all look good. So I am trying to see if its the relays? Well if its not that then its the wiring for sure. Any info would be great thanks.

100% there is a relay that controls your singlas and hazard. Thus the "clicking" noise everytime the lights turn on.

Download a copy of the Factory Service Manual from the Manual section. Find the wiring schematics it should tell you where things are located.

that happens to me if a door is open, check the little black thingys that tell the car the doors are closed in the door sill. or I have a alarm you can buy but I lost the key fob so you will need a new one.

My alarm is just getting more messed up now, when I try to arm or umarm it the alarm doesnt even sound anymore where its suppose to chirp once or twice to let you know. I probly just end up upgrading to a better alarm. I will look up the relays and see if I can find them thanks.

Hey guys I have been looking through the fsm and I still cant seem to find relays for the turn signals and hazard. When I look at pages 108, 132, 133, 138, 139, 152, and 153 I dont see any relays for the signals/hazard. All I can see are pretty much harnesses, can someone tell me what letter and number it is in the wiring diagram? Oh and the pdf file in the wiring diagram MSA5TCD98L21376 in the subaru 1998 does not work. I figure it is the same pdf file wiring diagram as the subaru 1997 MSA5TCD97L3990 and subaru 1999 MSA5TCD99L567 correct? Are all the fsm 1995-1999 pretty much the same? Thanks for the help guys.

I saw the turn and hazard module but I didnt think it was that. Well thanks for telling me. Stupid question but what is the difference between modules, relays, and switches?

Switches = On/Off physical action. (ie. defrost, fogs, hi/low)
Relays = On/Off electrical triggered. No physical action just signals feeding the switch. (ie. indicators, hi/low circuit)
Module = A grouping of items that work with or without each other. (ie. Indicator / Hazards module is a grouping of relays that work with each other. Indicators work separate but when hazards are used they take over the indicator signals.)
