Do I need to use Subaru's Coolant Conditioner on a 2.2

I will be replacing my hoses and will be using the Subaru coolant/anti-freeze. On a 2.2 do I need to use Subarus coolant conditioner as well. I thought that was only required on the 2.5s

The coolant conditioner is for the SOHC 2.5

Actually the coolant conditioner is for any vehicle that hasn't had the HG replaced yet.

Not really necessary. But shouldn't hurt anything if you want to use it.

I stand corrected - but if the HG has been replaced, the coolant conditioner is unnecessary.

I think for the $3.99 or whatever they charge for it, I'd throw it in anyway. Like Mike said, it's not necessary but it can't hurt.
