Which 3rd gen grill should I get for resale? 3 styles!!!

Ok so I know nothing about 3rd gen grills. I was at my local JDM superstore and notice that he had 3 different ones that I could buy.


The problem is I dont know what each of them are worth or if anybody would even want them.

First grill:

Crome finish all the way around... even in the small square holes in the "mesh"

Someone school me on the differences in each and what I could expect to sell them for.

the honey comb might be a rev D which wont fit most people here.

I think the B4 one and the honeycomb one mount slightly differently than the crome one.


I didnt take a pic of the back but it seemed to have maybe 6 small bolts with a nut that was held by the plastic so as not to turn. Both were like this and it looked factory... not homemade or anything.

Bottom line is should I only be buying one of these? Or do you guys think I will be able to find a buyer for all 3?

I liked the honeycomb too! I'd never put B4 on something that's not a B4.. I've never done that B4! :D

Well I think that the guy has the entire front clip of the B4 complete with the HID's, fogs, and even the lower bumper lip.

The honeycomb one looks like the ones that are on the "special edition" Legacies from that gen...that B4 one looks tempting...since people are posting grilles for 90.00 to 100.00 or so...might do the same?

The "honeycomb" grille is found on all D type wagons, nothing special about it (except that it's a D type). The first grille is from a BG Lancaster (so it isn't a 3rd gen grille), and the last grille is from an A/B type non-turbo car, but somebody has put the turbo "B4" badge on it. The turbo badges were red and the non-turbos were grey. This applies to both the "shield" and the "B4".

Well, I've been able to sell the A/B type grille for $100~$140 depending on condition.
The D type grille won't fit anybody's (generally speaking) car there, so it may be difficult to offload.
The BG Lancaster grille is more difficult to find here, especially in good condition so I haven't had the chance to find out.

Just out of curiosity... would someone just need to have a JDM bumper on their car to make the D type work? I am sure there are people rockin that who would love a nicely fitting grill right?

No, they need the hood. The D type grille is taller and goes further back into the hood. The A~C type grille is wider and shorter.
