Hello everyone, I finally got approved for an account here and I'd thought I'd Introduce myself.

This is my first car and I love it! I got it from my brother who is heading off to college, and whenever he did work on it, I helped.

So far, all we have done is mostly repairs and maintenance (145k on the clock) but It drives perfect. We had to replace the clutch a couple weeks back, and we used an Excedy replacement and while we were at it, we replaced the oil separator plate.

I'm planning on doing a few things to it, but not all that much. Full Exhaust (Gotta love not having a smog test), wheels, and a set of drop springs (and eventually I may do a Legacy GT strut swap for extra drop).

On to the pictures:

Obviously the old clutch on the right

And to the dismay of my parents, when we did the clutch we left the exhaust on the porch

Yeah, it was kind of gross down there. I've actually watched your build for like 6 months, but I just now got an account.

wow, nice! that was pretty awesome of your brother to give you the car!
and by the way, dont let the mileage on your car stop you from modding/driving it! these things last forever! yours is actually considered pretty low mileage to most.
sounds like you got good plans for the car. hope to see the car progress.
I know what its like being into cars at a young age.. i got my talon when i was 14 in 2006. still have it too!

Well, my parents actually bought it for him, so he is handing it off to me and getting an LT1 Firebird with a 6 speed (hopefully). I know that the PO was an old lady (cliche, I know) and it was well taken care of, so the mileage doesn't scare me at all.

That car is beautiful! Also, my brother did end up getting an LT1 Firebird. I actually just got back from a 2,800 mile road trip in it.

Yeah... I got a rusted out 1966 Volvo as my first car... not a 3 gen Leggy. But then again, I was 15 in 96... haha!

Nice ride! Start doing some little things and making it "yours"! And welcome!

Unfortunately that PO lady didn't take that good of care of it :/ It's been sitting for about 2 months.
