If I wanted to install a jdm bh5 bumper, would I only need the jdm bumper support, the jdm bumper skin and thats all?

I typed in jdm bh bumper install and couldnt find anything in the search.

Thank you

not quiet sure but I believe its a bolt on.. now there are A B C and D versions.. the D will have gaps between the headlight and grill where the bumper and hood meets or the hood will hit the bumper..

Thanks Lurker! Would you happen to have pics of all the types of
JDM front ends?

The D type wagon bumper looks like the '03-'04 bumper for the US cars (wagon and sedan), except that they don't fit the US cars due to different hood, lights, grille, etc. All other bumpers are different from the US. The A~C type bumper fits the US cars, but is different from the bumpers in the US. the D type bumper for the sedan is completely different from the US cars and doesn't fit well either.

I'll find pictures for all of them to show all what I mean.

Hey What's up Yamazaki!!! Oh and Thanks lurker!

Cool Now I know the difference from D and Other types.

I'm a total fan of the D heaadlights, but love the Type A-C Front Ends. From what i've seen in pictures. I assume the D headlights alone will fit on a US car with JDM type a-c bumper and/or a US stock car?

Does that mean in order to make the Type D fit well, I would have to get the Bumper Support, BUmper Cover, D headlights, D Grille, D Hood, then it would all fit perfectly? Not going this route, but just curious.

I really love the RFRB Bumper, but I dont think i'll ever source that part and if I do Shipping will be like super Mula, but I'll pay it if I had the Mula!! hahaha

I want mine to look like this white one, but with the more mellow scoop. And I want it Black, Although My car right now is white, so I'll rock a white car Clean and Classy then paint it Black down the road! Mean and Aggressive!

If you get the D bumper and headlights you need to get the hood for best fitment.. And I believe you can use your stock supports ..

What if I only wanted the D Headlights? Would they fit on a Type A-C bumper and hood?

Thanks GTB

There will be a gap

Thats a bummer!! I love the D type headlights. Is the gap really noticeable? I guess i'll stick with my stock headlights with type a-c bumper and hood.

Nobody should ever have to ask about factory BE/BH front bumpers ever again after reading this....

From the Factory manuals:

A/B/C type bumpers. (1) non-turbo (2) turbo (3) Lancaster
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2011/06/98front_bumper-1.jpg

D type bumpers. (1) sedan (2) wagon (3) Lancaster
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2011/06/02_grille_bumper-1.jpg

So what does this all mean? Let's take a look at some pictures. First, here are two A/B type RSKs. They both have the same bumper, but one has a lip:
http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/452/be5arsk.jpghttp://img809.imageshack.us/img809/4651/be5arsklip.jpg

Exact same bumper for the wagons. Here is a C type GT-B and an A/B type GT-B (same bumpers as above):
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1501/bh5cgtb.jpghttp://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4933/bh5agtb.jpg

Both of those bumpers will fit North American models. But you may not need to spend large amounts of money for your precious "JDM" style. Keep reading...

Here are a couple of North American '03~'04 bumpers:
http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/3407/be9dus2.jpghttp://img683.imageshack.us/img683/5076/be9dus.jpg

This is where it gets interesting. Here is a D type GT-B and GT30 from Japan:
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/6835/bh5dgtb.jpghttp://img855.imageshack.us/img855/111/bhed.jpg

The Japanese D type bumper is the same design as the North American '03~'04 bumper. Except that the D type bumper won't fit North American cars. Look at them side-by-side. Notice the difference in shape where the headlights/hood/grille/bumper all meet (you can compare the previous four also):
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/1065/be9dus3.jpghttp://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1358/bh5dtx.jpg

So if you want a Japanese D type bumper, but don't want to have to source the hood, grille, and lights for it not to have weird looking gaps, the US C/D type bumper ('03~'04) will fit and looks the same.

Next we have a couple of North American '00~'02 bumpers. These are completely unique. They aren't found over here (Japan) at all:
http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/3275/be9aus.jpghttp://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2530/be9aus2.jpg

Now another unique one. This is the Japanese D type sedan bumper. It does not fit North American cars:
http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1416/be5drsk.jpghttp://img687.imageshack.us/img687/5508/be5drskside.jpg

Just for the hell of it, here is a B type Lancaster (will fit North American cars) followed by the D type Lancaster. Not much change (a little blockier) other than to accommodate the new grille, headlights, hood, etc. (and therefore, will not fit North American cars):

Thanks YamaZaki! Thats Exactly What I needed. I really Love the Type C GT-B!!
I understand that the usdm bumpers for 00-01 are unique in Japan, but wouldn't you agree that they super ugly compared to JDM? haha
