I have been noticing a shudder when i let off the throttle above 40mph. seems worse in the morning and is very apparent.

when i accelerate it isn't as bad but it gets noticeably worse with less throttle.

Any ideas?

when you say shutter... do you mean like driveline shutter?

Like slack being picked up in your drive line?

Or engine shutter?

Engine or pitch mount.

it will happen as long as throttle is off and i am decelerating. not just a little slack and thats it

thanks huffer I'll check that out. I also hear a popping or tapping sound that also happens above 40mph. it's irregular so it would make sense with a mount.

I'll tell you what, I replaced my pitch stop with a Group N STI mount and the bolt at the bellhouse backed out. There was all sorts of weird shudders when I took off or slowed down. I could feel it in my gear shifter too. I could also feel my gear shifter trying to move forward and backwards on it's own.
