Ya. Happened a few days ago actually. But now I am faced with a dilemma.

I need a new unit. The question is to stay OEM or go aftermarket. I have 2 options in mind.

1. OEM 6 disc unit.
-Pros: Cheap, Easy install
-Cons: Wasting CDs, Used
-???: I still wanna get unit 2 eventually, don't know if I could resell this.

2.Pioneer AppRadio
-Pros: New, Cheap for what kind of unit it is, No CDs, Can use iPhone apps for more uses.
-Cons: Costs more then option 1, To new to know of any flaws , Pain to install (will be my first DVD style unit install)
-???: Does appear to be upgradable in firmware from a micro SD, Should work with the next iPhone but it's uncertain.

I don't have enough $$$ to get option 2 yet but will in 2 weeks...Thats gonna be a long 2 weeks of no music.

General features:
digital media receiver with AM/FM tuner (no built-in CD player)
touchscreen control over select iPhone 4 apps
built-in amplifier (14 watts RMS CEA-2006/50 peak x 4 channels)
built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling
6.1" LCD display

This might not be as cool as you want until more apps get on board. I have an android and was looking at the:

I looked at that unit before...Was never a fan of that UI..Looks too blocky. Thats been my issue with alot of units....Terrible looking UI or poorly designed UI when it come to iPod .

Yea...

Main thing for me would be the UI on the GPS... and I like that Sony has a unit that has TomTom software. It is priced about the same as the one I listed by Pioneer.

If you are interested in staying OEM I have a 2006 Baja 6-cd head unit I'm selling. :)

I've been pretty happy with my Alpine. Has iPod/iPhone connection in the back and plays MP3 discs. Had it over 5 years and it's still kicking.

KISS principle I say.

I normally use the KISS principle but I do like my tech when it comes to certain things. Some car tech is alittle much which is why I prefer older cars. My ex's 05 Jetta had too much.
As for the head unit, I'm probably stay OEM for a bit, wait for the pioneer unit to get alittle time under ita belt.
