So I have replaced that little bulb in my trunk several times and no matter what it never lights up. So my question is does anyone know what switches/triggers the light or what the wiring diagram is

look around the trunk latch. there has to be a trigger in there so it knows that the trunk is open. also use a volt meter and pull out the bulb and see if theres power going to it

FSM ZIP -> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RQZJ4G39 <-- pass = sli
Locate 1996\Service Manual\ELECTRICAL SECTION\BODY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM\MSA5TCD96L6381.pdf -> PG 20.
Probe and diagnose .

I'm fairly certain the switch is in the latch itself or where the latch latches to on the body.
