Pics of other stock subaru seats in a Legacy

I'm interested in replacing my seats in my bd with some other stock subaru seats. My car isn't a race car nor will it be, its just a fun dd. I've done some searching but I'm looking to compile different pics into one thread, without a lot of clutter.

Soooo, if you have different subaru seats in your bd (not other bd seats) please post a couple pics. Please post a brief specs list of the seats like which model they came from, price if you don't mind, heated, power options, and whether it is direct bolt in and perfect fit or not. We can leave modifications of seat rails or whatever to pm's.

By the way if someone wants to measure their impreza seat cushion to the floor (on lowest setting) I will measure my stock bd seat and we can end this "how much of a difference in height are impreza seats" issue.

Please if you don't have pictures don't post a lot of talk, take it to pm's. I would like to see an uncluttered thread of pics. I don't know about everyone else, but when I'm looking for pics I hate wading through tons of pages for a handful of pics.

06 STI seats - difference in height at lowest setting vs. stock BD GT seats at lowest setting - 1.25"
Not a perfect fit bolt-wise - the stock seats used 4 bolts, the STi seats use 5 so there is one bolthole that doesn't match up. They aren't going anywhere though.

Paid $120 for all of em.
--feature an airbag the the BDs can't use.
--Driver seat is adjustable
--Seat hight at the lowest setting sits higher then my old L seats but it feels just as natural. A lifted feel.
Other notes
--back seat isn't a perfect fit
--back seat does get an armrest
--Lose the ability to fold down back seat but you do have a mini door in the middle.

2001 RS Seats
Fronts bolt right in, almost identical ride height to stock BD GT seats. As Huffer mentioned above, GD Chassis (02-07) seats sit higher.
Rears bolted right in but do not fit flush near the rear strut towers (Not visible unless looking from outside and you have to lean in to see it.)

Side notes:
No inside access to trunk
RS rear seats do not have a stiff backing, so when you look at the rear seat from the trunk you see foam. Very easily fixed with some scrap plywood and fabric.

I have a bugeye WRX seat in my 95. Had a tough time since the front left bolt decided to strip on removal forcing me to tap the hole larger and modify the bracket hole at that point. They are noticeably taller but are 1000x better than the blown out stock seat I had. $40, who can lose?

Awesome responses everyone. 1.25" ? That's minimal, I actually prefer riding not at the lowest setting on stock seats. Let's see some more guys, leather, newer legacy, and gr seats if there is anyone with them.

I swapped my cloth BK seats for leather BD/BK seats. The leather seats are higher than the cloth seats even at the lowest setting. I can post a pic later today if you want?

Really just looking for other seats that don't come stock in second generation legacies. This isn't really a thread just for me, it's intended to give ideas for all second gen owners and to compile information into one thread, instead of searching through a ton of pages. Good effort though.

98 RS seats. They definitely sit higher, around an inch. The only place I really notice it is the relationship of my legs and the steering wheel.

Its also worth noting that the rs seats are significantly lighter than the stock bd leathers. Probably 10-15lbs lighter each side. And my seats were manual everything. They are also way more comfortable, despite the fact that they are basically just padding sitting on stamped steel frames. The leather seats are tubular frames with wire suspension under the padding.

v4 jdm wrx seats they sit a bit higher but the side bolstering is way better the stock and tighter then usdm sti so good if you are a smaller guy like me

I had 07' impreza seats front and rear and they fit perf but not enough headroom 4 me. I still have them and they are for sale if you are interested, they are grey and black.

They're absolutely amazing in corners, and very comfy for cruising. I tend to sit very high and in my non raised roof wagon I still have plenty of headroom and no compromise on visibility. I'd say I gained 1.5" over stock.

I will also echo what someone else said - they're lighter than the Legacy seats by a bit! A no compromise weight savings!

2006 is the newest in the posts above and they still bolt in! I love Lego!

I put leather front seats from a 00+ (BE?) model I found in a junk yard, but I cannot get the back seats to line up. Look completely different to me, still trying to figure that out.

Anything up to 07 will work. I haven't seen anything definitive about 08+ though.

I want to say something changed in 08. The BRZ/FRS may be a whole different ballgame entirely. If you can, do it! It would be great info.

yes :( by a lot too. I'm 6'8" and my 07' seats had me rubbing my head on the roof it was very uncumffy. i was going to get side mounts but i got rid of the car b4 i could.

1st gens are the same as 2nd gens for seat compatibility, from what I understand. It's amazing how many things are the same on the 1st gen Legacy & 1st gen Impreza.

It seems that almost any Subaru seat can work in almost any Subaru. I'm not sure a Tribeca seat would work in anything but a Forester (height) and 2nd gen Forester seats are way too tall for a Legacy (they'll bolt though) but other than that...

02 WRX front seats. Bolted right in, no problems, they sit roughly 1/2" to 1" higher than factory but I'll make that sacrifice for the rest of the benefits I gain from these great seats!

I know my WRX seats sit pretty high in the 97, but they were way to high in the 02. My legs wouldn't fit under the steering wheel on the highest position. I still feel the stock OBW seats sit too high.

This I would like to try with the black suede STI seats from a 2008 or so. Keep my power adjust in my wagon and have a color near the back/gray of the rest of the car. I really don't think any welding would be needed, just cutting/drilling new holes.

Does anyone know if the GRB Subaru Impreza STI Spec R Recaro seats will bolt into a 2001 BE5 third gen legacy? RHD to RHD if that makes a difference. Would love to see pics if anyones done this before. Thanks
