As the title states, I'm looking at a set of JDM lights from a '93 GT Turbo wagon, will they bolt directly up to my 97 GT Wagon ? Both are a one piece design.

93? I don't think so. 93's are BC's..you have a BD.

are you looking at a set on ebay? sometimes they have the bg/bd style listed as a 93 on there...

If it's a turbo wagon, it definitely has to be a BJ. I don't think they put turbo's in Legacy wagons after 94. (Now that's different I believe)

the jdm variants had single and twin turbo engines after 94...

93 is a BC/BF (BJs are American only, pun intended)
94 (JDM) is BD/BG though.

Yeah, they're on Ebay listed as BG/BG5 lights. They look identical to my 97 lights (and I need one so don't go frigin buying them on me :P ). What's interesting is they have a 95 Legacy Turbo wagon hood for sale so possilby they've mislabed the year of the car for the lights. It would make sense they came from this car than from a '93. So, will these fit my 97 Wagon ?

Yeah, those will fit, but if they're JDM then they are RHD reflectors and you won't be able to aim them correctly.

Think they'll plug right up or I"ll have to splice the harness ?
Now really, how much to the side do headlights really aim ? I've been looking at my beam patterns at night and I don't really see a huge amount of difference to the light thrown to the left or the right. I don't want to blind people but I also don't do a whole lot of night driving either.

They really are pretty drastic, IMO. I can definitely tell the bias (esp. on low beams) to the right.
As for the harness, they might not plug and play, but splicing should be simple. :)

Now a before/after shot would be really handy for this one. Is it "drastic" enough you didn't like them on NA roads ?

before/after?
I only have stock USDM lights. I can just tell you that they bias to the right a lot. Legacy4Life has shots of his projector lights angled all the way to the right, and they're pretty much dead center (which is probably enough to get away with on most roads).
No, I don't like my (USDM) lights, they're not bright enough, they don't fill out their allocated space very well. That's why I bought hellas for country roads (still in the installation process).
