Times are a bit rough right now but I did manage to wax the car up to a decent shine with Turtle Wax & an electric buffer so she looks pretty decent. I'm a full time student at a technical school so she's getting all the work I can give her during that time with a limited budget. There are small problems here & there (like HVAC lights being out & the cruise control not working) but my main issue is the knocking at higher rpms (forces me to stay off the highway). I did check the oil & it is indeed glittery (next oil change is in 1500mi). My life & the conditions in it force me to rely on the car for transportation to school & I intend to drive it until it dies. 22Es are exceedingly hard to find, even though next week, I'll have the funds to get one. Okay, let me not talk your heads off & show you my partner.

Those quarter panels look oh so clean.

Now when you say knocking at high rpm are you referring to your knock sensor freaking out or physically a knocking sound...

Either way the 22E is a champ.. very reliable and kind of peppy.

With that body you can keep her running for another 10 years easy.

A physically knocking sound from cylinder 1.
I loved my old 22Es. They NEVER gave me an issue. Just kept the maintenance up regularly.
Anywhere above 3000rpm & she knocks pretty good.
As for the body, I got it like that. I don't understand how a New England Legacy could not have rust on the body...

The body on that thing looks good if the engine blew Ide buy it from you :). These legacys hold up to the salt pretty well a lot better then any other car ive owned. They are coated well underneath from the factory.
