You need to use De-Ionized water. Which IIRC is Distilled water..
This is the same concept as the Mr. Clean car wash spray bottle and cartridges.
If that method doesn't work for you a clay bar application will remove all defects in the clear coat besides scratches.

Cool, I will have to try that. Its just that everytime I wash it, I try to wipe it down, and it still leaves spots.
I will try the distilled water next time

Also you should spend a few bucks on those professional microfiber shamees ..
They come in a plastic container and are ment to be kept in it when not used and moist to prevent the fibers from hardening and deteriorating.

Wash it in the shade... and wax it often.

+1 Make sure you dry in the shade too.

You need to make sure you let it cool down a bit before washing as well. If it's been sitting in the sun all day and you move it to a cool spot let it sit before you get started.

I dont think the car has ever been this spotless since I bought it. After almost two hours of cleaning and whipping it down I have absolutely no water spots! :D

Slick looking STi in the background. Does the owner envy your hatch?

Used streekless soap, and the microfiber glove thing. Then sprayed in lines down the car so the soap would come off in a line. Then used a micro fiber cloth and wiped down the whole car again and it removed all spots that was left over. Took almost two hours but well worth it. About to do the windows now

He also owns a silver 2.5 RS. Looks like it just came off the line too! Too bad he wasnt home then.
He likes my wagon a lot, but as for being envy....I doubt it. lol
