My plans for my car are to:
Put in cold air intake, lighter crank pulley, new headers and exhaust , new interior (Maybe the ones from the GT Limited IDK Yet) and lots more.

Got bored so messed around with some neons i found lying around

Lightweight crank pulley is a no no! Subaru's are very sensitive to there weight balance of the crank. By putting on a lightweight crank pulley and not rebalancing the crank you WILL cause premature damage and most likely engine failure. Don't mean to bash just don't want an unsuspecting fellow legacy driver to end up down the tube needing to replace a very expensive and necessary part... That being the engine... Other than that it looks good i drive a 3rd gen myself gotta love em!

^^^ i have to laugh at that. Of the 300,000+ miles my subarus have accumulated, not one has suffered this failure you talk of. All of them have used stock sized lightweight crank pulleys.

I have however seen the evidence of the rubber spacer on the stock crank pulley separate and tear, causing the engine to give up.

Stop spreading rumors.

...where did you pick up this nonsense from? I suppose you're against lightweight flywheels too for the same reason?

Yeah call bs unless maybe a problem when tracked or something. The underdriven ones could be a result of that.

I think he's confusing lightweight with under-driven.

^^ I think he's just confused. As long as the crank pulley is correctly made and balanced evenly, using a stock Lightweight pulley or an underdriven pulley will not make a difference to the crankshaft in the slightest. The reason people see engine failures is not the aftermarket crank pulley, rather poor or faulty installation.

Anyway, we're all off topic and TMP is going to wonder what the heck is going on in his MR1 thread. :lol:
