As the title states....

My 97' has a leaking as filler neck, and it leaks constant when I have more than a 1/4 tank if gas.

My friend has one on a 94' SS that he's parting out that was brand new last year, will a BC one fit in my BD?

probably a better question for LegacyCentral. I would guess no, because so many changes were made from the BC/BF to the BD/BG

They look exactly the same, so were gonna try it. I'll update the post with the results

I say no because depending what year your BD is subaru change the filler neck to one that has a valve on it. Even though they are probably the same shape i'd be cautious. If you do try it let us know because anyone in the north east should replace theirs one time or another because it will leak. Bad design I say, they put a cover where sand and salt can get stuck and eat through the metal. Guess they don't have to worry bout that in japan :)

Yeah, that stupid cover was packed full of crap. I'll give it a try, I'm not too concerned with the leak since even with the leak I'm getting about 2.5x better mileage than my silverado haha

Well I finally did this swap. Both necks had the valve (94' and 97').

I must say, it's not a direct swap, the BC neck is about 1.5" longer and it is REALLY difficult to get it into the hose on the tank. It took my brother and I quite a while (30-45min) to get it in. I also would not want to do it with out the car on a lift, it might be nearly impossible then.

But all things considered, it works, and it's pretty awesome being able to fill the tank past 1/4.
