impreza 2.5RS engine bay compared to 99 legacy

I was wondering if the engine bays for different years of the impreza 2.5RS, (both are EJ25 engines, i believe the impreza's in the dohc, or is it sohc and does it make a difference?) would allow to for me to use parts for the impreza 2.5RS in my 99 legacy. Like an intake or exhaust system

Oh yeah, the engine bays are the same.

pertaining to the exhaust, I think the midpipe is the only difference on the impreza, as far as length. But if you're doing exhaust, I'd reccomend getting a shop to custom weld the catback (with a muffler of your choice) because it's cheaper and a guaranteed fit.

If you do that, make sure you're getting a GOOD shop. There's some real hacks out there doing exhaust work. Ask to see some of the work they've done, and preferably talk to some people who've had the shop your considering do work on their vehicles. Look around the shop if you can, and make sure they have a tubing bender etc.
