So I'm also a Toyota nut... This was my 1984 Toyota 4x4 I had for a few years that I sold in Nov 2010...

Got it as a stock 1984 Toyota SR5 4x4 that was beat to hell...

-Stock carb'ed 22R
-5 speed with 4:7:1 t-case gears
-Procomp 3" front springs
-OEM Mazda B2200 2WD rear springs. Relocated mounts
-3" shackles front and rear
-IFS read diff with welded spiders
-2" wheels spacers in front
-35" TSL Boogers
-Pacesetter header with glasspack
-3" body lift
-Acura Integra seats
-Inch Worm Hi-Cross over steering
-36" Rancho shocks
-Custom built front shock hoops and rear shock mount bar (by me)

and I'm sure other crap I have for got... I did all the work myself. When I sold it, it was to pay off my bills and it worked. The truck was almost in mint shape and hated to sell it, but I wasnt using it at all and the truck was going to crap. I drove it about 30 miles in 2 years when I had sold it and I didnt want to dent up all my new panels...

So here it is...

Very nice setup. I've had a few yota 4x4's as well, I was never lucky enough to find a solid axle truck, thy are worth gold here in te Midwest if you can find one that isn't rusted out.

My favorite was my 87' 4runner, rebuilt 22re, cammed, header, 2.5" exhaust, 3" body lift, 3.5" drivetrain lift, flat belly, home made bumper on 31's. That damn thing went every where my buddies locked XJ went. Selling is my biggest automotive regret.
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2011/08/Gilbert3-1.jpg

I grudgingly went moved to "the darkside" and bought an XJ as it's replacement, they are just way cheaper and raise to find parts for around here

I just went along with the Colorado 4runner Club guys on a wheelin' trip. I can say that I definitely developed a respect for these rigs!

I had I think about $400 into my lift parts. 9 1/2 in in the front 11 1/2 in the rear. Well, thats including tires, but yeah I didnt have much into the lift.

I'm about to take possession of my buddy's 85 Solid axle to repair it and I told him I would do it for free, but I get to wheels it since I miss my truck so much! hahaha... He hasnt used it for about 4 years no, Just sits with a broken axle and a flat tire.

Sounds like a terrible waste of a yota.

You suck! I have been wanting one of those for a long time, but I cant justify it yet... 35's fit easy, a nice ARB bumper, high pinion axles, there is not much to do to make that a clean, capable wheel'n camping rig! And I think I can town my 16' flatbed trailer with one!

An FZJ80 I think will be the next Toyota 4x4 I get. Only problem is I have 7 cars right now and I will always need a full size truck. and the MPG is worse then my tow rig, when towing!

Found some more pics... this is of my cab swap...

I got a free 86 2WD long box truck for the cab. Making a 2WD cab fit a 4x4, is interesting...

Lots of crazy looking damage when I took her apart! This is right above the driver door!

Under the driver seat. No wonder the seat never bolted in right... haha

The cab was so twisted that when I cut the cab with the sawzall, the C-pillar popped up!

 Do you still have the 82-85 Celica in the background?? Trade you my BD for it! Had a few (yes 4) Celica's in my past too. Ranging from a 20R 78 coupe to 84 GTS liftback.

 M=Member's R=Rides - 2 = MR2 Thread. :smt023 I saw the red one (82/83??) , but it looks like he sold it? Love it. I have too many cars myself at the moment, and no place to keep them, so another project will have to wait til something goes. :-( Just so hard to let any of them go :smt002

Never heard of using b2200 springs. Interesting choice. Have any better pics of those acure seats? Did the seats just bolt up to the original Toyota holes?

Looks like a capable rig. Too bad you had to sell it. Cool to see a few Toyota 4x4s on a legacy forum site.

I tell ya, those Mazda springs are the best upgrade I did for the money! I think I spent $40 on them. All you do is re-locate the front spring perch and your set. You just need to make sure you dont go too far like my buddy did. He reversed his shackle a couple times.

The Acura seats can fit. They are off by about 1-2 to 1/4 inch for the front bolt holes, but manageable. You will need to build mounts for the rear. Beats the hell out of stock seats though! I dont think I have any more pics, but I'll look... I have about 30K pics on my laptop... haha...

It was fun to play with! I just never used it and all my buddies were getting rid of their rigs and I just never used it. I decided that I would more into drifting anyway, but I do have dreams of building another one some day. If I can ever justify it, I'll get a FJ80/FZJ80 Land Cruiser and have fun with that, but the MPG sucks and they are still a little spendy.

when and if I ever get my '99 GT here and running I think then it will be time to modify my truck and actually use it. This whole 100 miles a month and a trip to the dump sucks.

Nice! I've been itching for some off road these days.. Just nothing to do it in. An 89 GMC long box xcab 4x4 is not so fun off road.. haha
