JDM aluminum control arms - BH

So I attempted to install a set of JDM aluminum control arms on my 02 BH wagon with no luck, the ball joint shaft is too long, there is no way the stocky/US ball joint will work, I'm guessing I possibly need a different ball joint - can someone please chime in with experience on these for the 3rd gens ? (Yamazaki / RougeBen)? Thanks

I am not 100% sure if that P/N will work on the BE LCA but I can only assume it would since its based off the GC STi LCA. IIRC its just the width that changed on the BE LCA.

I was in the same situation.. although the shoe was on the other foot.

I sold my GC LCA since i bought GD LCA for my STi.

Anyways the GC LCA were sold to Zak and he called me in panic saying that the ball joints are wrong and the LCA wiggles and is loose.

After $50+ at the Stealership they had what he needed only to find out in the end he need different endlinks to make the LCA work :-(

I saw that the sway links might not work out - are the end links different if so would any GC-GD/STi work, or if I remember correctly then I think I saw someone with a small spacer between the LCA and the link ?

You can reuse your old end links but it will flex the bushings till their torn.

You can reuse your old end links with the spacer you mentioned but you need a HIGH-TENSILE steel lengthened bolt to replace the shorter one.

You need the sti endlink style that has two "spherical bearings" or ball joints I guess

I used universal ball joint type links when I did mine. I had those Whitelines - they started clunking and getting squeaky, so I threw them in the bin.

Part number of the "boss" is 20216FA000.
Less then $11ea from subarugenuineparts.com.

To the O.P - your not actually driving around like that?
