I think it would be nice to get a collection of shift knobs available for our car. I keep finding more every day so I will list what I have found. We are looking for non OEM knobs unless it is rare. We will also sort it by material.

Subaru 2007 WRX 5MT - leather
bolts onto any pre-2007 Subaru shifter or OEM compatible shifter
I also have a Kartboy short shifter

Price $20-70 (in 2009 depending on condition)
Ergonomics - I like it. It's OEM and it matches the peforated leather on my MOMO steering wheel. I also reused the shift boot from a newer Subaru and that updated the overall shifter look.
Quality - it's OEM.

I'm using a black "leather" knob from a 2005+ Legacy Automatic on the 5 speed in my 97 Leg. I had to drill out the hole a little, then just turned it on and the shifter cut into the nylon core.

It was free from a junkyard.

I've also used a Lugnut from an SVX
