I picked up the 2011 wrx wheels and tires today so as promised, here are some pictures of them on a completely stock suspension 1999 Legacy Sedan (2.2L). I was only able to pull out of the garage and then back in as it seems the rears were rubbing pretty bad. Upon further investigation, it looks like the inside of the rear wheels was rubbing on the strut... like they were just too wide. The other clearances seemed ok but I never turned the front wheels.

Great info - what's the specs on the '11 WRX wheels? Offset and width? 17x7 ET 55? Tire spec?

They are 17x8 with a +53 offset.

Tires from the factory are Dunlop SP1 ultra high performance summer tires. Size 235/45/R17 91w.

Great for me because it almost never gets below 40 degrees here in sacramento.

That'll be why it's rubbing. 8" wheels are tough to fit on stock suspension on a BD. A fender roll and a 5mm spacer would do it though, or switching to a smaller strut body (like on a coilover).

Not feeling it. Not of fan of those multi spoke wheels.

On the BD or the WRX? Or both?

Anything. I just dont like the style of those rims. The older years were better.

Well considering that new tires on the stock 16" wheels would have been about $300... getting wheels and tires with less than 6k miles on them for $500 was a no brainer... and I think they look decent.

To each their own I guess...

ithink the look great. i love the gunmetal clor and the muti spoke i have been a fan of. i love the way they look spinning (while driving)
is it a possibility they would work with just a smaller tire size, untill you have time to do other fitment stuff?
curious how much those rims are for all four. did you get a dscount somewhere?

They are about $320 each new (wheel only) from an online parts dealer... before tax and shipping.

You just have to keep your eyes open for people who are selling their OEM wheels to buy new ones. $500 is the lowest I have seen for these... the prices go up to about $1400 for a set.
