This is my 86 Subaru Brat. I bought it when I was 12 as a father son project. It was originally a role over with a lot of rot, and body damage. Now I have done paint rust repair, and changed out every last panel. Repainted it the factory color pieced back together the interior and got it back to the way it was (with some minor upgrades) Last year I drove it around on the stock 1.8 crabed engine, and decided I wasn't happy with it. So last October I started in on a frankenmotor AWD swap. (originally 73hp fwd/4wd truck it should be a big upgrade) So far the modifications have gone pretty well with some snags here and there as expected when you undergo a project such as this one.

Mod list...

Engine:
ej25 block fully rebuilt
ej22 heads
1996 ej22 intake
stock cams for now...
Really cool custom headers, built by my father
Megasquirt 3 (having some issues with this right now)

Drivetrain:
Custom built drive shaft
3:90 trans and rear diff out of a lego
new O.E. Subaru clutch
custom trans mount (still needs some work)
shortened shift linkage
shortened ej front Cv's soon to be sleeved

Brakes:
Front Lgt brakes
Rear xt6 brakes
full copper/nickel brake lines
dot 5 fluid
no e-brake right now
New Brat master cylinder

Suspension, and handling
Addco front and rear sway bars
front wrx k-sport coilovers
front lgt hubs and spindles
Rear xt6 hubs
rear wheel adaptors (the front was wider than the rear)
N5000 tires
EA81T power steering rack with custom built lines
Xt6 front control arms
modded front subframe

Interior:
mostly stock with the exception of a steering wheel and a Crown Royal shift boot

Exterior:
Factory front push bar
Fog lights
First gen turbo lego wheels
Stock paint color 567 marina blue
New brat stripe

There's a ton of other small things from a wide band 02, to front mount radiator fans, but it gets to a point where it's to hard to remember/list everything I have put into the old girl at this point.

PICS!!!

And as of yesterday with the new wheel spacers (rear still needs to be lowered)

Currently It's not running I'm still in the stages of setting up my MS, and for some reason I'm not getting any tach signal into my ECU. I have no Idea why I'm working on that right now. I still have to finish some of the wiring, calibrate some sensors. Do a little more work with the trans mount. There's some rust that needs to be taken care of. I need to put my sway bars on, along with lower the rear. Other then that long list it's close
Hope you enjoy!

Great job on the paint. I can't tell that it's been repainted. Can't wait to see a video!

Thank's for the compliments. As for the paint my dad and I painted it (I prepped, he sprayed) and It came out really well there's only a slight issue with the hood (sanding wasn't done correctly) But other than that it looks very good considering how bad it was. As of right now I'm still trying to figure out what's up with my megasquirt. I'm still not getting a tach input, so I'm trying to find time between school, and everything else I'm doing to get it running. I hope I will be sucessful in the next month or so. After that I'm going to be doing some bodywork, and I hope to get a spray on bed-liner soon.
