View Full Version : BE/BH door panel removal?

I searched, but didn't really turn up anything.

Is there an extra step or trick to removing the door panel on a BE/BH (compared the BD/BG)? I tried on a friend's car (troubleshooting a rattle) and couldn't get it off. It seemed like the bezel around the door handle/lock on the inside was holding it in, but I couldn't figure out the trick and wasn't eager to break anything on a friend's vehicle.

TIA

You have to undo the bottom clips then push up on the pannel. there are hooks at the top that go around some metal

So there are hooks on the door handle bezel that go like this?

I know about the hooks that go over the lip of the door, right at the bottom of the window, those are on the BD/BG.

If anyone has an FSM diagram, it would be really helpful.

Here you are. There is a screw in the door handle area behind a flap.

Well, i never removed the tweeter, or the screw inside the door lock/handle.
Just the other three.

Just wired up for my soon to be installed frontset so i had the doorpanels of this sunday.

I got the screw by the door handle, but not the one behind the window switches. That one's new. Thanks a lot!
