@ Huffer: not tint although that is in the future.

@ Mark: Go ahead and guess if you like.

Well, that's a bunch of BS

Just got an email from Chaplin's Subaru (www.subarugenuineparts.com (http://www.subarugenuineparts.com)) and they informed me of a pricing increase. The item that I selected (SPT muffler, listed at $200) was infact $140 more then what they had listed, and that I would have to pay that price if I wanted it. Now, having worked retail for quite a few years, a pricing mistake is always the retailers fault. They are the ones that have to suck it up and take the hit. The retailer would "have" to sell the item at listed price and then make the proper changes for any future sales of that item. Why must I pay for their mistake?! I replied, and if they will not sell the item for its listed price, I will cancel the order and take my future business else where. That is extremely poor business practice on their part IMO...

I agree that it would be nice if the retailers would take responsability for their mistakes, but they are not bound to sell you anything for any price weather or not it is listed as the price. Even if they already took your money and only then notified you, they can still back out of the deal. Sort of a bait and switch type of deal. I have had experiences both ways and must say that it is very nice when a retailer makes good on their mistakes (and I buy much more from them because I know they care). If they only offered the part to you at what would be a the regular price I would be a little irritated. It does cause you hassel as a consumer.

well, they would not honor the listed price saying that I agreed that they can change the price at anytime of the transaction as long as they make me aware of it. This must be hidden someplace on their site with no link. At no point of the transaction was I asked or promted to see their terms before placing the order. As far as I am concerned, they can kiss my ass as I will never buy another thing from that place.

back on topic. Since the guessing is non existant, I gave a call to the guys a Erebuni and have the last OE Baja style CF hood on its way to my house as we speak. and am currently looking for the best price on headers. Anyone have links available?

Thanks,
-BB98

First you can find the borla head from Grip Motorsports for 277.69 and they ship it for 24.99.

http://www.gripmotorsports.com/pi~pn~Bo ... -3118.html (http://www.gripmotorsports.com/pi~pn~Borla+Exhaust+Flow+Header+Subaru+Legacy-3118.html)

Car Domain: http://www.cardomain.com/item/BOR17183

However, if you goto cardomain and to their store. When you find the header for our cars, shipping is free but the price is higher. Under the "Add to Cart" button there is a "105% We'll beat any price" type button. If you click that and then put in the address above and some other info, they will send u back a code which you put in for a lower price. NOW, the price is only a dollar cheaper, however shipping is still free!!
It will take a day for them to process it usually.

i should hopefully be stealing mine from cardomain next week

Also, just thought id point out that you can do that with whatever product cardomain has for our car. Eibach springs is another one that you can find cheap and have cardomain match and then ship it to your loveshack for free
