So how much work would it take to swap in a set of Honda Odyssey headlights (99-04) into a BD/BG?

Here's a 240SX that did it:

Here's what I'm thinking - put these headlights:

Onto a BD/BG:

How badly do you think the lines/shape would match up?
The side closest to the grill is angled the wrong way, and so is the area in the fender... so some custom work definitely needed there.

Stupid idea?

The impreza grill folds the way you would need, but yeah to use your words, stupid idea.

The BD/BG is more of a rounded body shape while those headlights seam to be more at home on a car with lines. but that's just my 2 cents, do whatever you want to, its your car.

Yup, all makes sense. So any suggestions on some headlights that might fit?

I really didn't mean to be hurtful, or rude. I was simply approaching it from a pragmatic viewpoint. Cost to benefit ratio, and I would imagine the cost (be it in time, or materials) would far outweigh the satisfaction you would have from retrofitting honda lights into a soob. If you're going at it for looks, go for it. It's your car (as he said); but in terms of performance, retrofitting FX's into the stock (or JDM) headlights would yield you more light.

(And hey, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. Feel free to ignore mine).

How about you just attempt and do a full front end swap, might save enough money attempting to just hack up fenders, grill, hood when you will have to do body work, paint and all that good stuff.

I mean anything can be done, there was an RSX in richmond that had Is300 headlights, R33 Bumper, wide body, and g35 tail lights...and it looked like it came that way, minus the fact I knew what the lights were from but they pulled it off..so anything can be done. I love the Odessy swaps. All the ones ive seen have looked amazing, theres a Z3 with oessy lights, and the s13's. Id say go for it! I bet it would look very smooth!

Wow had no idea people went that far to put some minivan headlights in. Looks pretty cool in most cases.

the 240 is A LOT more angular so those headlights would look good on it, the 2nd gen legacy is more of a rounded shape and it wouldnt work, aesthetics wise anyway....as said before FX-R projector swap on JDM headlights like mine are a HUGE improvement over stock
