hey.

the wifes 97GT has developed a stutter after the JDM motor install(no egr)

it happens most often at about 55MPH 2300+/- RPM when your barely on the gas, it feels transmission related like its dropping out of 4th, but not into 3rd..

basically your driving down the highway, and the car will buck, or stutter but ONLY if your barely on the gas..

i havent had a chance to look into it yet, but wondering if anyone as had this issue, could it be related to the lack of EGR?

my wife has always had a problem in any car she drives of getting on the gas, then getting off, then back on, and so on in any vehicle to maintain highway speed.. i can drive the car without this issue, or i can make it happen..

thoughts?

thanks guys.

Make sure the butterfly plate is opening smoothly on the throttlebody?
Could also be the torque converter...

Those revs are nice and low for 55mph...

I would definitely check what Huffer suggests, and make sure the pitch stop mount is connected and in good shape. It being disconnected or broken could result in more dramatic bucking.

Check the TPS too, I've had the same thing happen.
