Ok, so I just scored a sweet deal on a complete set of Tokico blues, and tokico lowering springs. Less than 10k on everything. These came out of a 2002 wrx sedan, what do you think the drop will be on my car. The springs lower a WRX 1.25 front 1.00 rear. Im not looking for exact measurements but just something maybe to compare it to. I dont want to be dumped to the ground but want it lower than an outback of course, I would be happy a little lower than stock lgt height.
Thanks in advance for the advice
Josh

Don't know if you have it but I think you need the 02-03 wrx rear tophat in order to use the springs

I'm pretty sure you're going to be much lower then stock LGT. r3v is partially correct, you will need rear spring perches for an 02-03 WRX for them to fit.

You're going to be super low. Make sure to get an alignment ASAP or you'll be running tons of negative camber.

yeah im supper low and got tons of clunking, I think Im gonna put oem wrx springs in and see how that does. I got the complete setup tophats everything, tried getting an alignment today as it was and they turned me away. "we dont deal with that type of hodge podge shit here" Im low enough where my exhaust is sparking the pavement lol. Also is there some sort of protector that sits on the bottom of the struts in the front, or is it spring on strut direct contact, my rears had like a rubber materiel to go in-between but the fronts didn't. Will putting oem wrx springs bring me to around LGT height?
Thanks

That's not low at all lol. If you're getting clunking, then chances are something is wrong. Also any shop that tells you something like that doesn't deserve your business.
WRX Springs will raise you up to near LGT height but unless you have wagon springs the ass end is going to sag.
This is where I'm sitting currently, and just from seeing the front of your car I'm quite a bit lower. My suspension doesn't clunk at all, and I'm no where near low enough to drag my exhaust on the ground.

Just whent out and took a pic, this is how it sits now, What could the clunking be? the top hats spin, could that be it?not tight enough?, and also on the front there is nothing between the spring and strut where it meets together, its metal on metal

The front top hats should spin freely and there shouldn't be anything between the spring and perch on the bottom of the front struts.
As for the clunking, it could be a bad strut, it could be loose top hat bolts, or a loose top nut on the strut. Double check all your connections and make sure everything is torqued to spec.

My bet is bad strut with the clunking going on.

it also looks like you got a saggy butt too. Get some rear spacers to fix that!

The struts are almost brand new, no oil leaking, you can hand compress them and they rebound nice and smooth. Guy at the alignment shop said my steering rack was going and would cause clunks. But this is also coming from the same place that wont touch my shit because its hodge podged together. How truthful it is I'm not sure, something to look into. So this weekend I'm gonna take it all apart, and make sure all is the way it should be.
As to the ass sag, it looks like I have it but when I'm parked level its fine, I can fit almost 2 fingers in the front between fender and tire and 2 and a half almost in the rear.
thanks for all the help and if anyone else can think of anything feel free to toss it up here, I will keep everyone posted.

That is far from being low and you will have to be more specific about the clunk. When and where does it happen? I had a bad steering rack before and it didnt clunk, it vibrated the shit out of my steering wheel and car and made a huge deep vibrating noise while turning.
To be honest that height looks more like the LGT height lol and WRX springs raise your car higher than LGT height.

In the front maybe but my rear end is pretty low.

On Outbacks because the spacers are there to give it the "height" , the drop is usually comparable to the GT wagon..depending on the springs. You may want to check the rebound rates for the springs since they are meant for a sedan. Usually matching them with wagon springs is a good thing. Also you have OEM wheels with the Outback tires, which may cause rubbing. When I had my 98, I was on GT wheels and it turned out superb...though I found later that approaching driveways I would scrape the exhaust tip and mudflaps...Your stance looks exact like my old 98, only I had 1/2" spacers from Paranoid on the rears for the saggy butt.

Ok so the problem was, top nut on strut wasn't torqued enough, got myself a thru ratchet and torqued em down, moved a washer the was stopping the tophats from spinning on front, now she goes down the road on a cloud as quiet as can be.
thru ratchet set 50 bux at sears
taking a sharp corner at 60 and begging for more priceless
thanks for all the help guys, in the end something so very simple but often overlooked
