My car does not have the factory keyless entry However looking it seems like it was an option... now I found someone that said they would sell me the unit (keyless unit) but I was told to check to see if I have the harness under the dash.. Does anyone know what it looks like? maybe it's tucked away or something like that?

That is the control box that you want. Look at the picture on the back of the unit... it will show you what the connectors look like that control each feature. I think you will also need the little button (valet mode I think) that goes by the hood release.

this should help as well. Gives you alittle more on where the wires go.

im pretty sure you can buy the harness from subaru... Also, sometimes those wires are really tucked up in there..

I can almost guarantee that your car is wired for the keyless.

This should help :smt002

"The keyless entry plug is tapped to the big CEL plug. It's an off-white opaque color(same color as the keyless entry plug). This took me FOREVER to find because it is has a DUMMY plug attached to it. Please note that there is also a black plug that will fit the keyless entry module. Don't stick it into that one like I did."

Here is another pic of the unit with wires plugged in, courteous of Huffer:

It must be.. it had an aftermarket system on it before but the system went nuts and the last owner must of just disabled it.. I'm not sure how aftermarket systems go but I guess they just plug right into the factory keyless harness?

This here might help guessing if the wires stayed the same color during the years and models.

The areas I need to check are these translucent connectors that plug into black connectors.. I think most factory stuff plugs into the same matching color connector, no?

Hmm I was looking at the service manual to see if it talked a bit over the keyless system.. might be helpful since it tells which color the connectors are. It appears that all the connections I will be looking for would be black instead of translucent.

Dude... look at the pictures in the post... they are plugged into the unit and are clearly not black.

I'm looking to put the OEM keyless in my 95 Legacy L. I know the kit part numbers for 95 and 96 were H7110AS000 and H7110AS300. Do I need both kits or just the the first one.
