Do any of you have a good Subaru service place specifically in Pleasanton, Dublin, or Livermore. i found a place that is rated pretty good, is Ricks Performance, in Pleasenton, does anyone have any experience with them? My brothers Impreza needs to go into the shop for a oil leak. The reviews for the Subaru dealer in Livermore for the service were not so good so they are not taking it there. So I am trying to find a shop from Oregon for my brother in California, so i am trying to find good shops. Thanks for any recommendations in advance.

I would try asking that question here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11

A lot more people to weigh in from that specific area.

Either you can go to LIC Motorsports in Novato,CA there pretty good with Subarus and theres also a local shop in Fremont, CA that deals with Subaru(they do work for a local Subie dealer, but there pretty well to work with.)

Heres the link for LIC: http://licmotorsports.com/ (they do pretty much anything Subaru related, and there quite communicative when not doing racing)

Novato CA is too far away. My brother is in the east bay heading out towards Tracy and Stockton. My brother i know will not drive all the way over there. Thanks though.

I do not really want to join NASIOC.

My dads neighbor had a WRX and ended up rolling it, so my brother is going to ask him.

i will wait and see until next week when they decide to take it in. they will take it to where ever is going to tell them the least amount of things are wrong, and the least expensive. i will try to get a hold of him tonight and see what he wants to do.

so they ended up taking it to the dealer. the clutch and the throw out bearing is being replaced. the oil leak was actually from the oil filter (i do not know how) so it is going to total out around $1,500 with tax. it is supposed to be done today.
